I am also a Mom

I have an adventurous family of four, we often go on walks at the beach, the forest, and love camping on the weekends, weather permitting.

Our lives are busy and full, our week is one big routine that repeats over and over and our weekends are sometimes just spending our days in pijamas.

But health and eating healthy is important to me and although sometimes healthy looks like a quesadilla it can also be an amazingly vegetable stuffed lasagna.

Life is not instagram perfect, but real and imperfect.

My biggest challenge is figuring out how to make my meals easy, healthy, flavorful, and that my toddlers will actually try it.

Let’s be real, even I don’t always succeed in getting them to eat everything I make.

Why Nutrition for Moms

I made Nutrition for Moms because I know how difficult and frustrating it can be to get back to feeling normal after giving birth.

Not all mother’s bounce back quickly, I sure haven’t lost my baby belly completely, and that is ok.

It takes time and patience to feel normal again, and there is so much information on the Internet and so much expectation of what one should look like.

Well my only expectation for you is that you feel fed and with energy, everything else comes on its own time.

My hope is to share some of my knowledge with you through my blog posts.

My focus is to help moms eat better, feel better no matter where they are in their journey.

I will share tips to help you be healthier, recipes that are easy and healthy, and have a place for you to go to for the latest news on nutrition.

Editorial Process

I am proud to provide nutrition content that is researched, written, reviewed, and corrected by registered dietitians.

Registered Dietitians have completed 1200 hours of supervised practice through an accredited internship program and passed the national registration exam conducted through the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Every dietitian must complete 75 hours of continued education every five years and submit a plan indicating the focus of the following five years’ continued education. This allows dietitians to stay current and maintain their credentials.

Once the articles are written, they are fact-checked by Blanca Garcia, the founder of Nutrition for Moms.

Articles are reviewed and updated on a yearly basis to reflect new research. All factual information is obtained from peer-reviewed research. However, any professional opinion or experience is disclosed within the content.
